ChickTech Robotics Bootcamp

At ChickTech, our goal is to create pathways into tech for girls across the country. Sessions will include workshops on coding, hardware, 3D printing, laser cutting, and of course how the FIRST program works. The cost is only $50 for the entire week (Scholarships available).

Oregon State University High School Journalism Institute 

Co-hosted by OSU and The Oregonian, this camp seeks to nurture budding journalists underrepresented in the field. With guidance from professionals, participants use real journalism skills to report and photograph a 32-page newspaper, as well as blog and produce multimedia pieces for The Oregonian's website. They will learn the value of making a difference by covering multiple perspectives in the news. Applications are available in the College & Career Center.

Cottonwood Crossing Summer Institute

Cottonwood Crossing Summer Institute (CCSI) is a week-long residential field studies program for high school students currently in grades 9-12. Participants choose from five course options where they learn about locally significant cultural or natural resources. Projects are led by EOU faculty, EOU Capstone students, and other regional professionals.

Portland Metro Fire Camp 

Portland Fire and Rescue is hosting a fire training camp for young women ages 16-20 years old. This three day camp is an opportunity to experience the unique aspects of being a firefighter.

Young Entrepreneurs Business Week

At YEWB, we cover more than just business fundamentals... Students learn about leadership, teamwork, networking, public speaking and more. During each program, YEBW incorporates inspirational speakers, interactive learning exercises and other professional growth activities.

Incoming Freshman through graduating seniors are eligible to attend. There is no GPA requirement and no business knowledge necessary. Spots are first come first serve. Scholarships are available!

Oregon State University 
Summer Veterinary Experience (SVE)

August 4- August 9, 2019, OSU Campus
Application Deadline: April 15, 2019

The program takes place at OSU - College faculty, graduate students, and veterinary
students will serve as mentors and instructors for the participants. The students will have
 the opportunity to participate in research projects, as well as clinical activities in the 
veterinary teaching hospital and in off-campus settings. Popular sessions from previous years
include learning how to do a physical exam with live dogs, surgical skills lab, and demonstrations
of the equine treadmill and the underwater treadmill in small animal rehabilitation. 

The cost of the program is $750. Full scholarships, including housing and meals, will be available
for selected students who meet established criteria including, but not limited to: 
1. Come from a low-income family (and/or) Be a first generation college student (and/or) have an
ethnic or cultural background that is underrepresented in the veterinary profession.

University of Oregon campus, where students learn about various subjects from 
distinguished University of Oregon faculty members through fun social and
 interactive activities. We offer both Day and Overnight program options for students.
